Welcome to iThuba! These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, services, and platform (the "Service"). By creating an account or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 18 years old to use this service. By using the platform, you confirm that you are eligible under South African law to enter into a legally binding agreement.
When you register an account, you agree to provide accurate and truthful information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activity under your account.
iThuba allows users to create, update, and manage CVs and professional profiles. You agree to use the platform only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including POPIA.
We respect your right to privacy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection, storage, and processing of your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
The Service is currently provided free of charge. In future, we may introduce subscription plans or fees for advanced features or continued access to editing functionality.
Important: If you register before any fees are introduced, you will retain free read-only access to your data, even if you choose not to upgrade to a paid plan.
We will notify all users at least 30 days in advance of any pricing changes or new billing models. Continued use of the platform after such changes will constitute your acceptance of the updated Terms.
All platform content, features, and functionality (except for your user content) are the property of iThuba or its licensors. You may not copy, distribute, or reuse any part of the platform without written permission.
You retain ownership of all content you upload to the platform, including your CVs and personal information. You grant us a limited license to host and display your content as needed to provide the service.
Your unique QR code contains a secure personal link to your public iThuba rating page. Scanning it will allow others to open your profile and leave a rating/scoring.
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the platform. Upon deletion, your data will be securely erased, subject to legal retention obligations.
We provide the service “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime, uninterrupted access, or that the platform will meet your specific needs.
To the extent allowed by law, iThuba shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages related to your use of the platform.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be resolved in South African courts.
